Offre modalità multi/singola scintilla commutabile, gara/strada, limitatore di giri e modalità di avviamento elettrico/a pedale, non richiede PC. Questo modulo HI-4N era prodotto da Crane, ora da S&S. Non è cambiato nulla, tranne il nome. Stessa fantastica tecnica, stessa elettronica affidabile. L’HI-4N offre più opzioni del famoso HI-4, con un’affidabilità ancora migliore. L’HI-4N è dotato di accensione singola/doppia commutabile (con modalità multi/singola scintilla integrata, gara/strada, limitatore di giri e modalità di avviamento elettrico/a pedale). Facile configurazione statica iniziale con luce di temporizzazione a LED integrata. L’alloggiamento del sensore contiene componenti elettronici completamente incapsulati per resistere a vibrazioni, umidità e polvere, ed è montato direttamente sull’alloggiamento metallico che funge da dissipatore di calore per evitare il surriscaldamento. Facile regolazione con 4 interruttori rotanti che offrono una precisione perfetta. Nota: compatibile con bobine da 2-3 Ohm. Si consiglia di utilizzare moduli di accensione e bobine dello stesso produttore. Mescolare marche diverse può causare guasti prematuri. Nota: il rotore di accensione (OEM 32402-83) e il bullone di montaggio (2611B) devono essere ordinati separatamente o riutilizzati. Il kit rotore e bullone è disponibile come 902268 (S&S) o 920402 (importazione). Nota: il modulo potrebbe non adattarsi ai modelli XL 00-03 a causa del diametro leggermente più piccolo del cono di accensione utilizzato sugli Sportster 00-03. Nota: la differenza tra single dual fire spiegata: – Dual fire – Questo è il modo in cui funzionano i primi motori, pre-Twin Cam. Viene utilizzata una bobina singola ed entrambe le candele si accendono contemporaneamente. Questo è il sistema più semplice. A volte si dice che la scintilla “sprecata” rubi potenza. – Single Fire – Questo è il modo in cui funzionano i motori Twin Cam di serie 00-up. Due bobine separate accenderanno le candele in modo indipendente e solo la candela del cilindro che è in fase di compressione verrà accesa. S&S, HI-4N IGNITION MODULE, COIL & SPARK PLUG WIRE KIT

Kit includes S&S HI-4N ignition module, S&S single fire coil and black 8.5mm double silicone ferro-spiral core spark plug wires. Offers switchable multi/single spark, race/street mode, RPM limiter and a kick/electric start mode, no PC required. This HI-4N module used to be made by Crane, now by S&S. Nothing changed but the name. Same great technique, same dependable electronics. The HI-4N offers more options than the famous HI-4, with even better reliability. The HI-4N comes with switchable single/dual fire (with built-in, multi/single spark, race/street mode, RPM limiter and a kick/electric start mode). Easy initial static set-up with built-in LED timing light. The sensor housing contains fully encapsulated electronics to resist vibration, moisture and dust, and are mounted directly to the metal housing which serves as a heat-sink to prevent overheating. Easy adjustment with 4 rotary switches that offer perfect precision. Note: Compatible with 2-3 Ohm coils. It is recommended to use ignition modules & coils of the same manufacturer. Intermixing different brands may cause premature failure. Note: The ignition rotor (OEM 32402-83) and mount bolt (2611B) must be ordered separately or re-used. Rotor & bolt kit is available as 902268 (S&S) or 920402 (import). Note: Module may not fit 00-03 XL models due to the slightly smaller diameter of the ignition cone used on 00-03 Sportsters. Note: The difference between single dual fire explained: – Dual fire – This is the way the earlier, pre-Twin Cam, engines work. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The ‘wasted’ spark is sometimes said to be horsepower robbing. – Single Fire – This is the way the stock 00-up Twin Cam engines work. Two separate coils will fire the spark plugs independently and only the spark plug of the cylinder that is on compression stroke will be fired. It is said that these engines vibrate less and can improve power. The effects will become more pronounced with hotter cams and higher RPM.
